MANUKA HONEY’S international notoriety stems have the ability to treat a wide spectrum of health conditions, both internally and topically on the skin.

It should be added that not all manuka honey is the same. There are some problems in the UK and Asia with people misleadingly promoting ordinary manuka honey - i.e is only manuka on flavour.
Being a natural product, you get natural variation in potency levels - this is just how mother nature makes it.
It is UMF® manuka honey that has been tested and shown to have the additional antibacterial properties. Only some batches of honey are able to meet the standards set our in order to carry the UMF® label. There are some excellent examples of UMF manuka honey here to give you an idea, although there are other brands as well. Do your research fully.
Ordinary manuka honey will still provide you with a great taste, but will not have the same levels of healing properties that the research reports are based on.
It is generally accepted that Manuka Honey with a UMF rating of 10 or higher is considered to be medical grade and suitable for therapeutic use. The higher the UMF rating, the higher the antibacterial activity. However, some people have reported sensitivity to Manuka Honey with an extraordinarily high UMF rating (20-30). Even UMF10 Manuka Honey is effective enough to kill MRSA and heal Staph infections.
